EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Two years experience in the security installation and service industry, or a two year technical electronics education, with emphasis on both digital and analog circuits, and sound working knowledge of the PC computer platform and Windows operating system environment.
GENERAL FUNCTION:
Provide installation, service and application support for products and systems
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
- Assist in service/installation manual generation
- Installation of automated central station equipment in the field
- Ability to discern color coded wiring and components
- Provides both remote phone and on site service to systems
- Performs preventive maintenance as scheduled
- Provides assistance on new product testing
- Provides application assistance
- On call service as scheduled
- Conduct personnel in professional manner when visiting Dealer locations
- Software/firmware/hardware field test support
- Support parts bank in the upkeep of the equipment
- Support test and repair departments in developing and reviewing proper test and repair procedures
- Support Sales and Customer Service departments on proper application of products
- Work closely with Research and Development on software problems; also verification if time permits
- Be "ready" at all times for emergency service trip
- Performs other duties as assigned
